Firstly, although all our studies have been slightly a bit more difficult for me since it was all in Korean, I still believe I learned a lot in the past 4 months. I first decided to do this study because I wanted to be able to serve in the Church with a stronger understanding of God. Overall, I had learned most of the topics that were discussed before, but I have never learned about God in Korean. Although the meetings were long and in the online format, I still found it to be a meaningful time.
One thing I found to be helpful in my faith life was the homework that was required for this Bible study. The homework ensured that I was reading the Bible and reflecting on what I was reading. Another assignment from this study was memorizing Bible verses. I found this more difficult as I was busy with other things. Although I did not memorize everything, I still remembered a few of them and learned why it is important to do so. By being able to recite scripture, it becomes easier to spread the gospel and to remember to live by them.
The things we learned included about generic Bible facts, sin, salvation, God, the Church, and our role as Christians. One of the things I remember the most during the 13 weeks of this study was about the gifts of grace. Although all of us are different and may feel insignificant, we all play a role in the Body of Christ. We are all members as Christ is the head. That being said, each part is important in doing its role to keep the body functioning. Through his grace, God has been each of us a gift to do his will. This study helped me realized how I must be a good steward for God by using this gift effectively to do his will.
Through 생명의 삶, I believe I am able to apply what I learned into my daily life. This will ultimately help me get closer to God and be able to serve Him better than before.
